The Great Kat, who is Katherine Kat (Katherine Thomas) has a long history in music being a Juilliard graduate violin virtuoso/guitar shredder named to the Top 10 fastest Shredders of All time by Guitar One Magazine. She is know as the “Reincarnation of Beethoven’ and the only guitar/violin virtuoso since Niccolo Paganni. That is just for starters! She has several more accolades and now unleashes a new release in 2022!

Beetohoven was introduced to the Great Kat as an infant and imbedded in her blood ever since as a natural outpouring of her soul to the music world. “The Great Kat had the HIGHEST level of Ear-training and Solfege since BIRTH by listening to BEETHOVEN at ZERO YEARS OLD! BEETHOVEN, BLASTING in the HOUSE SINCE BIRTH—Beethoven’s 5^th, 9^th, Eroica, Egmont, Pastoral, Violin & Piano Concertos and more.

After Beethoven ear-training since birth, I began piano lessons at age 7 and violin lessons at age 9. After quickly becoming a Classical violin virtuoso, I won a FULL VIOLIN SCHOLARSHIP to study at the JUILLIARD SCHOOL! Studying at The Juilliard School in New York City was INTENSE and VERY COMPETITIVE!!! It was 24 hours a day of competitions, performances, rehearsals, lessons in violin AND in orchestra and chamber music. I also studied solfege, piano, music history, conducting, ear-training, and composition where I won the prestigious “Robert Hufstader” Scholarship at Juilliard.

The Great Kat’s LIBERAL & ARTISTIC NEW YORK upbringing influenced me by encouraging me to become a violin virtuoso, and later a guitar virtuoso and update Classical Music in an EXCITING and POWERFUL format-METAL!!! No One is the WORLD is even ATTEMPTING to do what I do on Guitar AND Violin!”
